April 2021 was an exciting month for the CHILD Center! The new playground opened for the first time. Then, our kiddos did some planting in our backyard garden. We also had a visit from our partners at UF’s Anita Zucker Center to make art together. And finally, we raised $2,595 for the CHILD Center through The Amazing Give. We planted ‘magic beans’ in the garden

Connecting our children to the natural world around us is an important part of their educational experience. Thanks to our partnership with Working Food, our juniors and seniors have weekly hands-on gardening lessons.

In collaboration with our partners at UF’s Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies, we made a fabulously fun mess. Budding artists at the CHILD Center spent some time outside painting with hands and brushes.

Our April 2021 Amazing Give campaign raised $2,595

An announcement spreading the word that the CHILD Center is participating in the Amazing Give during April 2021

And last but not least, the CHILD Center was excited to participate in The Amazing Give: Workday Edition on the 22nd of April, 2021. Many thanks to our 11 donors, especially Michael Smith and Beverly Diaz. As a result of your generosity, we will be able to use these funds to support our high-quality programming for our county’s youngest citizens.
